Arcane Ink is a professional body piercing studio in Riverside with a resident piercer, Brandon Medina, rather than a rotating guest. Every piercing is placed with a single-use needle — never a gun — after an anatomy check, and fitted with implant-grade titanium sized for swelling. Ear, nose, lip, oral, eyebrow, navel and nipple placements are all available. Piercings start at $40, jewelry is priced separately, and the consultation is free.

How it works

The process, start to finish

  1. Step 1: Research

    Look at healed piercings rather than fresh ones, and decide the placement and the jewelry look you want.

  2. Step 2: Check In & Paperwork

    Bring government-issued photo ID. Tattoos are 18+; for minors, certain piercings are available with a parent or guardian and matching ID.

  3. Step 3: Anatomy Check

    Your piercer assesses the placement on your body first. If your anatomy does not suit it, we tell you and suggest what will work.

  4. Step 4: Jewelry Selection

    Implant-grade titanium as standard, with surgical steel and gold options. The initial bar or ring is sized for swelling.

  5. Step 5: Piercing

    Marked, cleaned, pierced with a sterile single-use needle. Never a gun. Most placements take seconds.

  6. Step 6: Aftercare

    Sterile saline twice a day, hands off, no pools, no twisting. Free downsize check once it has settled.

Never a piercing gun

A piercing gun forces blunt jewelry through tissue with the force of a spring. It cannot be sterilized in an autoclave, it crushes the tissue it passes through, and the jewelry it fires is rarely implant grade. Single-use needles cut cleanly, come sterile, and are disposed of in front of you.

Implant-grade titanium is the default for every fresh piercing, with surgical steel and gold options. Jewelry is sized to your anatomy and for swelling, and changed down once healing settles.
